Hemingway

Hemingway is a pet-peeve of mine. Researching an article I wrote, “Ernest Hemingway and Hart Crane: Twins of the Sea and the Stars”, I accumulated quite a large Hemingway collection. Vol I is juvenilia and Vol 6 hasn’t come out yet.

Samuel Garth’s OVID, 1794

Sir Samuel Garth, physician and poet, and patron of poets, commissioned and published translations of Ovid from Dryden, Pope, Gay and others in 1717. The edition of 1794 was the first to assemble the complete “Garth’s Ovid”.
